The Penguin, featuring Colin Farrell as the titular Batman villain, debuted on HBO and MAX on Thursday 19. It garnered an impressive 94% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a score of 72 out of 100 on Metacritic.

Recent viewership numbers show The Penguin pulled in 5.3 million views during its first four days on Max, beating out Succession and The White Lotus.

The Penguin is already a critical hit but we can now confirm that it's been a hit in terms of viewership as well because The Batman follow-up had the biggest 4-day launch since The Last of Us in 2023.
