NOPD federal consent decree could be winding down
NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO) — A new development emerged in the NOPD’s federal consent decree on Friday, Sept. 27. The City of New Orleans and the Department of Justice are reportedly asking a federal judge to end it. If approved by the judge, a 2-year “sustainment period” will begin once all of the police department’s problems have been addressed.
