LEHIGH TWP., Pa. -- Good news on the horizon for the fire burning on Blue Mountain. Crews believe they've stopped its growth. As of the last update, it sits at just under 600 acres and 25% percent contained. Officials say they're now in the "mop up" phase of the firefight.

Blue Mountain wildfire burns nearly 600 acres
A wildfire that started over the weekend on Blue Mountain in Lehigh Township has burned nearly 600 acres, according to officials. The township fire company said in a new release Monday night that the fire reached 577 acres, and that 25% of it had been contained.

Wildfire on Blue Mountain burns over 150 acres, still uncontained
LEHIGH, Pa. - More than 150 acres of Blue Mountain has been torched by a wildfire that broke out over the weekend. Crews began battling the fire late Saturday night and have been working round the clock ever since. Firefighters have doused the flames both from the ground and with a helicopter dropping water from above.

150 acres lost in Blue Mountain brush fire
