A Paterson woman who was stabbed over the weekend by her neighbor died of her wounds in a hospital on Sunday, authorities said. The 54-year-old victim, whose name has not been released, was stabbed at about 3:20 a.m. Saturday in the area of Park Avenue, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes.

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A Chicago police officer was stabbed while arresting a suspect late Monday night in the South Shore neighborhood. Police said, around 11 p.m. Monday, officers were flagged down by a man who had been stabbed in the 1500 block of East 75th Street.

Charges have not been announced for the suspect, who officers tased during his arrest after the attack which happened around 11 p.m. in the 1500 block of East 75th Street, police said.

A man suffering a stab wound flagged down Chicago police, and when they tried to apprehend the alleged offender, the suspect stabbed an officer in the arm.
