Ravindra Jadeja said that that he was proud of himself after he reached the landmark of 300 Test wickets in the Kanpur Test against Bangladesh. Jadeja said that the hard work he has put over the years have paid dividends.

Ravindra Jadeja picked up a single wicket in the first innings of the second Test match against Bangladesh in the form of Khaled Ahmed. This was the 300th Test wicket for Jadeja. He thus becomes the first left-arm spinner from India to tachiueve this feat in the longest format of the game.

Although Ravindra Jadeja took only one wicket in Bangladesh’s first innings in the 2nd IND vs BAN test in Kanpur, that was enough for him to etch his name in record books, break Kapil Dev’s long-standing record and get on a list just behind Ian Botham.
