A female actor had filed a rape case against actor M Mukesh, who also made additional accusations of sexual assault.

Mukesh's arrest was recorded after the SIT, who is investigating the case registered against the actor, called him for questioning. The actor-politician appeared before the SIT at the Coastal Police Headquarters in Kochi in morning and was grilled for over three hours.

However, he was released on bail shortly after his arrested was recorded. Earlier, the High Court accepted his anticipatory bail plea.
