Ahead of the Knockouts stage on The Voice, Tanner Frick abandoned the competition. On Monday’s episode of NBC’s singing competition, host Carson Daly told coach Michael Bublé his contestant had left the show.

During his blind audition, Frick — who lives in Manchester, Tenn. — earned a four-chair turn singing Morgan Wallen 's "Thought You Should Know." "You represent so many great parts of the greatest gift America might have ever given to the arts. I want to be part of that," Bublé said after his audition.

The singer has not commented on his leave-taking, but he has been teasing a new song with the chorus "ain't nobody want me anyway."
