OTTAWA, Sept 24 (Reuters) - Given the continued progress the Bank of Canada has made in bringing inflation back down to the 2% target, it is reasonable to expect more rate cuts, Governor Tiff Macklem said on Tuesday.

Canadian inflation matched the central bank’s target last month for the first time in more than three years, smoothing the road for further cuts in interest rates.
